Air Fryer Pork Chops (No Breading)
Delicious, healthy air fryer pork chops without any breading! This is an easy way to use boneless or bone-in pork chops and whip up dinner in just 15 minutes! Serve with your favorite sides for an easy weeknight meal that tastes like elevated dining!
What Makes This Recipe Great
What can’t an air fryer do? I’ve made frozen shrimp, halibut, and even filet mignon, and everything I cook in my air fryer turns out more delicious than I could have ever imagined! My newest recipe is no exception. These air fryer pork chops (no breading!) are juicy, tender, and perfectly crisp.
The days of shake-and-bake pork chops are in the past for me as a gluten-free eater, so finding new ways to jazz up otherwise boring pork chops was so much fun for me! The resulting recipe is so yummy, and I know you’re going to love it!
With a light, olive oil + coconut aminos marinade, and a few simple spices, you will prep, cook, and be ready to serve this dinner in 15 minutes. With minimal cleanup and easy sides, this recipe is such a winner!
How to Cook Pork Chops in the Air Fryer
The cook time will vary depending on if you use boneless or bone-in pork chops, but the ingredients are all the same. Tossed in an easy marinade and spiced with a few simple spices, this meal comes together so easily!
Ingredient Notes
- Boneless pork chops: You can also use bone-in pork chops if preferred. See tips and tricks for cooking time adjustments if you use bone-in.
- Olive oil: Or alternative cooking oil of your choice.
- Coconut aminos: This gives amazing flavor and is such a healthy alternative to breading or other sauces or marinades.
- Spices: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and ground mustard.
Recipe Step by Step
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 for 4 minutes (if preheating is required for your model).
- Combine the olive oil and coconut aminos in a large bowl and whisk until combined. Add the pork chops to the bowl and toss to coat in the oil mixture. Let them marinate while you make the spice rub.
- Combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and ground mustard in a small bowl and mix. Remove the pork chops from the oil mixture and coat both sides of each pork chop with the spice rub (there should be just enough for all 4). Press down using your fingers.
- Cook the pork chops for 9-12 minutes, flipping halfway until a meat thermometer reads 145 degrees, internal temp. The timing will depend on the thickness of your pork chops. Mine were perfect around 11 minutes and they were 1.5 inches thick. Let them rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve!
Mary’s Tips & Tricks
- Air fryer bone-in pork chops cook a bit longer – up to 15 minutes total. Flip after 6 minutes and continue cooking for 6-9 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145F.
- Letting your pork chops come to room temperature for about 15 minutes before cooking is ideal!
Serving Tips
This recipe goes so well with a number of easy, healthy side dishes. You can serve them with roasted potatoes and green beans like I did, or try one of these awesome, easy sides:
Storage Tips
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the air fryer with a little olive oil cooking spray to coat the air fryer basket.
Recipe FAQs
If your pork is tough, it’s most likely because they are overcooked. Cooking to an internal temperature of 145F is the perfect temperature for juicy, tender pork chops. If you have really thin pork chops, you’ll need to keep an eye on them and adjust the cooking time so they don’t end up overcooked and tough.
It depends on the thickness of the pork chop and whether they are boneless or bone-in. For boneless, 9 to 12 minutes is just about perfect. For bone-in, it could be up to 15 minutes.
Instead of using a breading, this recipe calls for coating the pork in an olive oil + coconut aminos marinade and then using a few spices. The air fryer does a great job of getting that crispy outer shell that breading normally has, just without any breading!
