Sausage, Potato & Broccoli Sheet Pan Supper {Whole30}
This sausage, potato, and broccoli sheet pan supper is Whole30 friendly and comes together in just 30 minutes. It is marinated in a savory sauce that takes this simple meal to a whole new level!
Anyone else love a sheet pan supper or meal that can be made in ONE pot or ONE pan? I don’t know about you, but for me, less dishes = more happiness. I am a big meat and potatoes kinda gal if you couldn’t already tell, so this combo of sausage, potato, and broccoli is RIGHT up my alley! It’s hearty and makes a ton of leftovers, so you are technically multi-tasking. Making dinner AND meal prepping for lunches and other dinners throughout the week at the same time!
Which sausage should I use?
I don’t know why I was so anti Aidell’s Chicken & Apple Sausage prior to a couple of weeks ago. I don’t even know if I had actually TRIED it until then, I just figured if you could get it at a normal grocery store and didn’t have to hunt it down at a Whole Foods or Sprouts, then it probably wasn’t that good. (so sad, I know… HA). It also seems to be the staple Whole30 sausage that people complain about getting sick of easily. Maybe that turned me off, as well. BUT, turns out it’s pretty freaking amazing, especially baked! Sometimes chicken sausages kinda gross me out if they aren’t cooked all the way through (even though they are pre-cooked, the consistency just freaks me out). However, baking/roasting them gets them nice and crispy and OH SO tasty.
I recently tried it with the Paleo Cracked Black Pepper and Basil Chicken Sausage (Sabatino’s brand- pictured above) from Costco, and OMG – so good!! I bet it would be delicious with some Pederson Farms Kielbasa, as well. Bottom line – use whatever sausage you want! Just check to make sure it’s sugar free if you’re doing a Whole30.
The simple marinade/sauce that goes over this is so versatile. You can really combine any meat and veggies and potatoes with the sauce and I can guarantee it will turn out tasty! The pan is your oyster. or whatever. LOL feel free to get creative!
The rule of thumb for sheet pan dinners is to make sure that everything is relatively the same thickness. The potatoes take a bit longer to cook than the sausage and broccoli in this meal, so we add them about 15 minutes after the start of cook time to even things out.
I like to dip this in some Whole30 compliant ranch dressing – Tessemae’s is my absolute favorite! I get it on Thrive Market, which is an awesome online health food store. They sell a ton of Whole30 compliant pantry items for less than retail price! Think Whole Foods meets Costco. Use this link to get 25% off your first Thrive Market order + a 30-day free trial! Oh and PS – if you aren’t a broccoli fan, try this. You may just become one 🙂

Sausage, Potato & Broccoli Sheet Pan Supper
Ingredients
- 1 package of 4 Aidell's Chicken & Apple Sausage, cut into 1/2 inch thick pieces, or chicken/pork sausage of choice
- 6-8 medium-sized red potatoes, cut into 1-2 inch cubes
- 1 head broccoli (or 12 oz package), chopped into florets
- ½ cup olive oil , or avocado oil
- ¼ cup coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Frank's Red Hot, or other hot sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes, more or less depending on how spicy you like things!
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper. Add diced potatoes to a medium sized bowl. Add chopped sausage and broccoli to a separate bowl.
- Whisk remaining ingredients together to create the marinade/sauce. Pour half over the potatoes, and half over the sausage/broccoli. Mix well using your hands so all pieces are covered. I like to massage the oil into the broccoli - it creates the BEST flavor and crispiness!
- Add ONLY the potatoes to the pan, and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and add the sausage and broccoli to the potatoes. Toss everything together and then spread back out evenly. Return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes.
- Check to see how browned everything is - if you like super crispy broccoli and potatoes like I do, add an additional 5 mins to the timer. Remove, serve with some Whole30 approved ranch dressing (Tessemae's is my favorite!) and enjoy!

We made this is the pineapple bacon variation of aidells and it was sooooo good!
Love that idea!
perfect week night meal – and so yummy. My husband said ‘my tummy is full but my mouth still wants more’. The ultimate description of this meal! Thank you
Thanks, Stephanie!
Delicious and very easy to do!
Thank you!
We enjoyed this meal, the kids might be a different story though! But I thought it was super easy and tasty.
Can you use frozen broccoli
Yes, it just will not be as crispy as fresh!
This was so easy and outstanding! Adding into our rotation.
Thank you Holly!
Literally our family’s favorite meal. My 5 year old asks for the “broccoli from the sausage thing” because it’s so good! Such an easy weeknight dinner!
LOVE IT! Thank you!
Can’t believe I waited so long to try this recipe. I will be adding it to my regular rotation of recipes.
Thanks Julie! Glad you loved it 🙂
This is so quick, yummy and easy! One of our go to regulars for sure!

This recipe is usually on rotation every other week or so and my family loves it every time!! Mary has so many amazing recipes and this is one of our faves! So easy too!
Thanks Lauren!!
You are by far my favorite person to find my recipes from!!! Seriously. Always so delicious and easy. Family always approves too, which is a huge coming from my 2 & 4yo.
Thank you Brooke! Means a lot!
So delicious and easy. Baked for an extra 5 minutes as recommended and everything was crispy and delicious.
Thanks Kristin! Glad you enjoyed it!
So delicious and so easy!! Mine seemed to make enough to only feed me 2-3 times but so tasty! I was thinking it almost needed something else like rice or something but it’s plenty filling even if it doesn’t look like enough in the bowl!
So glad you enjoyed it!
This is the easiest and most simple meal that makes our frequent dinner rotations. Perfect for nights when I don’t have a ton of time to prep or cook. Easy leftovers too, I was eating those on the go just yesterday!
Thank you, Caitlin! I appreciate your review!
I have made this recipe twice and it is so easy to make and absolutely delicious. So flavorful. My husband loves it as well so adding it to our rotation of dinners. Thank you Mary – you never steer me wrong!
Thank you Amy!!
I can’t believe I only discovered this recipe a month or two ago. It has now become a weekly busy-night rotation. I use sweet potatoes instead, just a personal preference with my husband and I, and it comes out perfect. Sometimes we put tessamae’s dressing on it, but honestly it’s incredible with or without. LOVE this recipe!!!
Yay! thank you Taylor!
The sauce is absolutely delicious. I had never used coconut aminos before this recipe (and another recipe I made of Mary’s) and it’s so good! I had used liquid aminos, but that is MUCH saltier (they sound so similar, but definitely not taste-wise for those thinking of using that instead). I did add sliced onions (added with the broccoli/sausage mixture) and will definitely add this again! I only used 1/3 cup of olive oil and it was plenty. While cleaning the kitchen, I added leftovers to a bowl and it was nearly empty before putting it in the fridge, as my boyfriend kept picking at it saying how good it was. I personally used al fresco italian sausage (5 links), 12 oz bag of fresh prepared broccoli (could have used more), 1.5 lb bag of petite medley potatoes (Kroger – Private Selection), sliced and Tapatio hot sauce. It filled a large sheet pan – would have liked to have larger sheet pan as it was crowded and may have cooked better (crispier) if everything was spread out more. However, it was still SO GOOD! Cooked the extra 5 minutes that Mary suggested and could have cooked longer (5-10 min?) for my personal preference and fact that everything was crowded together. Thank you so much for giving us something delicious and quick to add to our meal rotation!
Thanks Tasha! yes – my favorite size sheet pan is 15 x 21 inches – gives everything enough room to crisp up! I appreciate your review!
Love this recipe and make it all the time! Sometimes I mix it up with cauliflower, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes etc. But always keep the sauce the same. It’s a favorite around here!
Thank you Paige!
