With the Super Bowl coming up this weekend, I wanted to share one of my FAVORITE apps which I recently decided to make dairy free! This is probably one of the easiest recipes I have ever made, and I guarantee it will be gone in 5 minutes (or less) if you bring it with you on Sunday! It’s straight crack, people. You’ve been warned!

I used Butcher Box sugar-free breakfast sausage for this recipe, but you can use any type of ground sausage. If you can’t find diced tomatoes with green chiles, just use 1 can diced tomatoes + 1 4 oz can diced green chiles. Kite Hill Cream Cheese is becoming easier to find – just check the store locator on their site to find a store near you that sells it! And if you don’t care about this being dairy free, feel free to use any regular cream cheese that you want.

I like to serve this with veggies & some Siete grain free tortilla chips. It would also be great with some Simple Mills crackers! Or – you can get real crazy and stuff some peppers using this dip as the filling. I’m totally doing that this week 🙂 Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast or Italian sausage, look for sugar free if Whole30
  • 1 14.5 oz can Rotel (tomatoes + green chilies) , Or 1 can diced tomatoes + 1 4 oz can diced green chile
  • 8 oz dairy free cream cheese, I like Kite Hill (chive)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400. Heat a large saute pan over medium heat. Cook the sausage, using a wooden spoon to break it up into small pieces, until completely cooked through. Add in the rotel & the cream cheese and stir well. Transfer to a round baking/casserole dish and bake for 15 minutes until the edges are crispy and bubbling. Serve with tortilla chips/veggies and enjoy!

Delicious!!! Made this for the Super Bowl. I could eat the entire dish myself. Couldn’t find the Kite with chives cream cheese so made my own with Violife cream cheese, chives and sea salt. Seriously loved it so much!

This is such a game changer recipe!! I always remember my aunt making this when I was a kid but it had the worst ingredients in it. This one is so delicious and reminds me of hers, but way better for us. I paired it with siete tortilla chips

This dip was amazing, and already cannot wait to make it again! I used regular cream cheese (not dairy free). It could not have been easier to make.

I made this dip for Superbowl Sunday and it was a HUGE hit! Since I have been diary free I have always been nervous to try “dairy free” recipes so I usually eat whatever the item is (dairy included) and suffer through. This looked amazing so I gave it a shot and WOW WOW WOW. It is definitely my new favorite – so easy and flavorful! Love your recipes!
