What Is Daily Harvest?

Daily Harvest is a company that delivers Smoothies, Bowls, Flatbreads, Bites, and so many other nutritious and delicious collections straight to your door. Delivery smoothies? Yes, please!

Daily Harvest aims to help busy people eat healthy, balanced meals fortified with fruits, veggies, and essential nutrients without having to meal prep for hours on end! All plant-based, gluten free, and dairy free!

I’ve been drinking Daily Harvest Smoothies off and on for about 4 years now, and thought this would be a good time to share my honest experience with you all!

DH Mission

“Daily Harvest is on a mission to make it really easy to eat more fruits + vegetables every day. From seed to plate, we’re committed to a better food system, one that prioritizes human and planetary health. We are transforming what we eat, what we grow, and how we grow it — one crop (and box) at a time.”

DH Food

Their food concept is: “Don’t eat it if you can’t read it. Our food is built on real whole plants, primarily grown in organic soil, the way Mother Nature intended. There’s no gluten, dairy, gums, fillers, refined sugars, GMOs, or artificial ANYTHING up in our food.”

Daily Harvest freezes their ingredients at peak ripeness, typically within 24 hours of harvest, to lock in flavor and nutrients, reduce food waste, and eradicate the need for additives or harmful preservatives. Their food is not only good for you, but good for the planet, too! They focus on compostable and recyclable packaging, which I love.

Daily Harvest Menu

Whether you’re looking for Daily Harvest Smoothies, Harvest Bowls, or scrumptious Bites, Daily Harvest really has it all with over 100 options!

Daily Harvest Bowls: The Harvest Bowls are geared more toward lunch or dinner and are super quick to whip up. For the Brussel Sprouts + Tahini one (pictured below), you just add it to a pan along with 2 tbsp of water or broth and stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. You also have the option to make it in the microwave in the bowl, so no dishes! There are so many yummy flavors of the Harvest Bowls, you’ll find your favorites in no time!

Seriously, it doesn’t get easier than that! This bowl was delicious and packed with flavor.

Daily Harvest Smoothies: I love smoothies! I especially love delivery smoothies that come all portioned out. All you need to do is pour the contents into a blender, add liquid of your choice, blend, then pour it back into the provided cup. So easy! These Smoothies are full of amazing ingredients and taste so good. Definitely one of my favorite menu items!

Bites: These bites are new to me, and they are SO GOOD! You can eat them straight from the freezer and they are made with all-natural ingredients that boost energy and are a perfect, filling snack. They also have super fun flavors like Raspberry + Fig or Banana + Cacao.

Forager Bowls: These plant-based, superfood bowls are a great breakfast or lunch option. Packed with oats, chia seeds, and/or flax, these sweet or savory bowls are super nutritious! They always use gluten free oats, which is important to me! The oat bowls can be made in the microwave, stovetop, or even as overnight oats.

Harvest Bakes: While these look absolutely delicious, they are processed in a facility that may contain wheat so they are off the table for me with my Celiac disease because I have to be super careful even with trace amounts of gluten. However, their meals are made with all gluten-free ingredients, so if Celiac disease isn’t an issue for you, these Harvest Bakes are great options! They are filled with even more protein and fiber, making them a great dinner option and can easily be shared.

Daily Harvest Delivery: Is It Worth It?

If you’re like me, you’re running around all over the place every day. Between working, managing family schedules, and activities for my three kids, I don’t always find time to EAT! Daily Harvest Smoothies and Harvest Bowls make it super easy for me to grab a healthy, filling meal on the go. So YES! It’s totally worth it!

My favorite part is that Daily Harvest delivery is so easy. I simply pick and choose my favorites, and they ship directly to my door. No extra trips to the grocery store, and I absolutely love the flavors, ingredients, and healthy nutrients I’m getting from each meal! Delivery for the win!

I typically only get a monthly box with either 9 or 14 items (you can choose up 6-26 items though!). I don’t eat these smoothies or bowls on a daily basis since I am always in the kitchen cooking for the blog. But they are nice to have on hand for when I don’t have breakfast or lunch ideas! The weekly box would be a good idea for someone who wants to have breakfast or lunch on the go everyday!
