I recently got a new Vitamix, so now I am constantly thinking of different types of smoothies, soups, and nut butters I can blend 🙂 It’s so powerful and awesome!

I realize that smoothies and other meal replacements/sweets/snacks are frowned upon during the Whole30, but I am modifying a bit since I’m pregnant. I usually don’t use smoothies as meal replacements anyway, since they never fill me up. This has been a great way for me to get some extra vitamins and healthy fats in between meals during this Whole30 round. This particular combo is pretty delicious and I have been making it on repeat!

Tropical Green Smoothie

A refreshing, nutrient-packed smoothie that will remind you of being on a warm tropical island 🙂

Ingredients 

  • ½ frozen banana
  • ¼ cup frozen mango chunks
  • ¼ cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup (packed) organic raw spinach
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • small handfull frozen coconut chunks (I find these at Trader Joe's)
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
  • ½ cup almond milk (The New Barn or Califia Farms are Whole30 compliant)

Instructions 

  • Add all ingredients to a high power blender and blend for 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Add desired toppings. I used raw almond butter and coconut shreds. Enjoy!
