Equipment

Ingredients

  • 16 oz package frozen hash browns I like Cascadian Farms brand
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Add the frozen hash browns to a bowl and toss with the oil and spices to combine.
  • Add the hash browns into your air fryer basket and press down to form an even layer.
  • Cook at 375 for 17-18 mins, shaking or flipping every 5-6 minutes. I did not preheat my air fryer. If you like them extra crispy, cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  • Serve with eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, or a side of ketchup. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use frozen shredded hash browns to avoid soggy or mushy potatoes.
  • Use Cascadian Farms brand for Whole30 / Paleo.
  • This recipe works best for shredded potatoes, not hash brown patties. To cook frozen hash brown patties in the air fryer, cook at 400 for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • To reheat hash browns in the air fryer, cook for 3-5 minutes at 375.
