Servings: 6 shots
- Juice from 4 lemons
- 4 oz fresh turmeric about ½ cup
- 6 inch knob fresh ginger
- ½ cup pineapple chunks
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp coconut oil (to help with turmeric absorption)
- ½ cup water + more if needed
Add all ingredients into a high speed blender. Blend on high for 1 minute.
Pour the contents into a bowl or a large mason jar through a fine mesh strainer or a fine mesh sieve. Alternatively, you can use a nut milk bag or a Juv Press if you have one.
Push down to get all of the juice out and leave the pulp behind.
Divide the juice into 2 oz servings and enjoy! Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 48. hours.
- If you have a juicer, simply combine all of the ingredients into the juicer and divide the juice into 6 shots! No blender or sieve is needed.
- The pineapple juice gives a nice, palatable sweetness to the shot. If you need additional sweetness, use more pineapple juice or a bit of raw honey.
- This recipe makes 6 wellness shots. They are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours.
- For a longer shelf life, use a larger silicone ice cube tray to freeze a larger batch. Defrost one of the frozen cubes overnight in the refrigerator to enjoy as a juice shot in the morning.
