Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen dragonfruit
  • ½ cup frozen banana slices
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder use code MARY10 for a discount!
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup coconut water + more if needed to thin it out

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use fully frozen fruit. If your banana or dragon fruit starts to thaw, the smoothie will turn thinner.
  • Start with less coconut water and add more as needed. It’s much easier to thin a smoothie than to fix one that’s too watery!
  • Let the smoothie rest for 1-2 minutes after blending. The chia seeds will absorb some liquid and slightly thicken the texture.
  • This dragonfruit smoothie is best enjoyed immediately for the thickest texture and brightest color. However, you can store leftovers in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Natural separation may occur, so shake well or re-blend before serving.
  • For longer storage, freeze the smoothie in ice cube trays and re-blend with a splash of coconut water when ready to enjoy!
