Course: beverages
Cuisine: American
Diet: Gluten Free
Servings: 1 serving
- 1 cup Kettle & Fire Chicken Bone Broth or sub beef bone broth
- ½ cup milk of choice I used Fairlife 2%, but almond milk or coconut milk will also work
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1.5 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 scoop collagen optional but I like to add for extra protein. Thrive Market brand is great.
- Whipped cream or marshmallows or dairy free whipped topping - optional. I like My Dandies brand for gluten free marshmallows!
Combine all of the ingredients in a small sauce pan.
Whisk over medium heat until combined and heated through.
Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
Blending: This can help to make your hot cocoa extra frothy. You will be blending hot liquid, so be sure to be careful when blending and pouring.
Multiple servings: If you want to make a large batch of bone broth hot chocolate, simply hit "print recipe" on the recipe card below. Change the quantity to the number of people you want to serve, and it will change the quantities of each ingredient needed!
Dairy Free: To make this dairy free, use coconut milk, oat milk (look for gluten free for Celiac), or almond milk.
Variations: To add more flavor to this hot chocolate, add in a dash of cinnamon, a little vanilla extract, or a bit of peppermint extract!
Storage Store any leftover bone broth hot cocoa in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
