This Paleo Peppermint Hot Chocolate is a delicious dairy free and refined sugar free version of the classic winter treat. Perfect for the holidays or enjoying after a day of sledding or skiing!

Ingredients

  • 1 13.5 oz can coconut milk
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or regular is fine, too
  • 1/3 cup raw cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • dairy free whipped cream optional - for topping

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients (except whipped cream) in a small sauce pan. Whisk constantly over medium heat until combined and heated through to the temperature of your liking. For me, it took about 5 minutes! Top with dairy free whipped cream and crushed candy, if desired. Enjoy!
